Oh, this will be a fun blog theme! How much do we love fabric? Today I want to share some of my favorite collections from the Windham Fabrics team 💜. My stash is usually pretty organized in these shelves….

But I must confess that it has begin to creep over and line my cutting table in obsessively-rainbow-ordered fashion ;).
It all began with my first project for Windham, designed for Janine Vangool’s third Uppercase collection, “Circular Logic.”

One small square led to a project for 8 more on a tight deadline for Quilt Market…you simply never know how creative you can be under pressure 😆. Me after I sent the finished pieces in:

The first 3 Uppercase collections are inspired by the designs on the spines of Janine’s beloved Uppercase magazine. Her 4th will ship soon! Here’s a peek at “Breaking News”:

Next up was a project with the fabulous basic “Bedrock,” which is an irresistible blender fabric! Check here for FQ bundles your quilt shop can order: https://windhamfabrics.net/php/fabricshop/fabricshop.php?a=sc&Category=1051&file=94&pass=1

How can you not love a collection that is offered in so many colors? I believe that the design offers just enough surface interest to add a little light to your pieces…see below for a few examples!

I’ve already written about the delightful project I did in connection with Grant Haffner’s incredible first collection for Windham…his fabrics are amazing in person, beautiful to handle:

But the true love of my fabric life came into my studio in the form of batiks in connection with this project! Lava Solids by Anthology Batiks (related company to Windham) are my fabric palette. Here was the stack to be Mistyfused for that project:

And some more organized fat quarters this year…check the website for fabulous FQ bundles: http://anthologyfabrics.com/precuts/multi-color-fat-quarter-bundle/

…which fueled my 52-square-and-counting Joy Quilt Project!

Of course, some non-batik collections still beckon 😉…this spectacular collection called “Dewdrop” is about to become very Heart of the Home quilts for Jamie Fingal’s fantastic project (see my how-to article “What Makes a House a Home…Quilt” Quilting Arts Magazine, October/November 2018) –

Check this and SO many other must-have collections on Windham Fabrics’ website- https://windhamfabrics.net/php/fabricshop/fabricshop.php?a=sc&Category=1338&file=21&pass=1
Happy fabric shopping 😁!
