Curved Leaf Coasters

These wine coasters are one of my favorite quick projects.  It all began before Superstorm Sandy…I did a bunch of leaf rubbings from my favorite tree, which I feared we would lose in the storm.  (We didn’t!). Not long afterward, I discovered heatable-moldable- VERY heavy fusible, and decided it was the perfect way to use some of my “leaves.”  Spring greens and silver for white wine…autumn colors and copper thread for red…bright colors just for fun.
The instructions can be found in the brand-new issue of Quilting Arts Holiday, which hits the news stands next week but is available right now in digit format.  Here are a few step-out photos that you might find helpful!
