Day 4: Favorite Tool

Welcome to Day 4 of the challenge! This is a tough one because I could write a book πŸ˜† about my favorite tools and materials…a long book. I decided to focus on 2 stocking stuffer gifts you should consider for your quilting friends (and yourself ;))! One physical, the other digital.

When Heidi introduced her perfect tweezers, I ordered a pair for my studio immediately. They are simply awesome for teasing out stray threads, peeling fabric off of digital cutter mats or (as shown above) removing bits of freezer paper after working with freezer paper resist and acrylics. This is not a paid testimonial, we are friends 😁…here is the link to order:https://www.heidiproffetty.com/product-page/heidi-proffetty-s-precision-tweezers

The other MUST-HAVE if you have an iPad which can accommodate the Apple Pencil…is the app Procreate. It has become an integral part of my design process…here is one super-simple example of using it to trace and flip an object (in this case, my Jackson πŸ’œπŸΎ):

It is super-powerful and can seem overwhelming when you first open it…but I promise you will soon wonder how you lived without it!

Happy Friday – see you tomorrow!
