Cheryl Sleboda has done it again…challenged us to write every day during the month of December :). It was so much fun last year, I had to sign up again! This month, I’ll write about some new projects, some favorite sources and materials, and undoubtedly sneak in a few more cat pictures.
The season of Advent has always been my favorite time of year. Our household traditions include:
1-turning the Christmas music on the day after Thanksgiving 🎼
2-bringing out the Christmas quilts…some of the family members are more excited about this than others…
I am a BIG fan of Basic Grey’s holiday collections and am nearly finished with this year’s…pictures soon on the new baby, quilted very lightly with a wool batting. If you need some more seasonal fabric for your stash, check our Rachel’s “Juniper Berry” collection for Moda. If you can find it- as I’ve discovered, her collection tends to sell out early each year.
3-reindeer mugs!
4-and, of course, Advent calendars!!! Instead of my usual chocolate version, I discovered a very special one from David’s Tea…a different tea for each day :).
What are your beginning-of-holiday season traditions?
Tomorrow, a review of a must-have 2017 planner…
Oh, that tea advent calendar is fabulous, had no idea such a thing existed.
Look at those babies!! I love the cats on the quilts. THANK YOU for being part of the challenge! ❤
